What is the UK GDPR?

UK membership of the European Union came to an end on 31 January 2020. However, EU law still continued to apply to the UK during the transition period, which came to an end on 31 December 2020. In preparation for the end of the transition period, the UK retained various pieces of EU law via the EU (Withdrawal) Act 2018. This included the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, of which was further amended so as to function correctly within the UK legal framework. This resulted in the creation of the UK General Data Protection Regulation. From 1 January 2021, UK data protection law includes the following legislation:
